Chris Jordan: News

Born in Barbados, the home of fast bowling, Chris Jordan emigrated to England after he received a cricketing scholarship. He first rose to fame at 18 years old after his debut first-class season with Surrey. However, due to injuries and inconsistency Jordan never reached the potential Surrey hoped he would and was let go by the team in 2012. His career received a respite and impetus when he joined Sussex for the 2013 season. The same year, Jordan chose to play for England over West Indies. He made his ODI debut in 2013 against Australia. Jordan's impressive performance in that series earned him a place in the England team that toured Australia and West Indies. In 2014, he made his Test and T20I debuts. In the 2016 World T20, he proved to be an invaluable member of the team playing every match. A fast bowler who has made a name for himself as one with a calm head during the death overs, Jordan has firmly established himself as one of the go-to players for franchises in T20 leagues all over the world.
